FAIRFIELD, N.J. – July 1, 2026 – A-V Services Inc., a leading provider of enterprise technology integration, managed services and intelligent monitoring solutions, today announced the acquisition of Edwin Jones Company, a respected developer of specialized automation technologies for divisible meeting spaces and commercial technology environments.
The acquisition expands A-V Services’ portfolio with proven technologies that simplify room automation while enhancing the intelligent workplace experiences organizations expect from today’s integrated environments.
For decades, Edwin Jones Company has been recognized for developing innovative sensing technologies designed for conference centers, hotels, convention facilities, higher education and other large-scale commercial environments. Its flagship Entertainment Networks Infrared Partition Sensor enables the automatic detection of movable walls without the need for mechanical switches or contact-based sensing.
Using modulated infrared technology, the sensor determines whether a movable partition is open or closed and automatically signals integrated AV, lighting and shade control systems to adjust room configurations accordingly. The result is a more reliable, fully automated user experience that reduces manual intervention while improving operational efficiency.
